Irving, TX (October 28, 2014) - Pillar Hotels & Resorts, an industry-recognized leader in hotel management, is thrilled to announce that four of its hotel teams recently had their stories selected to be part of the Residence Inn by Marriott 2014 Most INNspiring Story Collection, which will debut on DVD in February 2015.
The Residence Inn West Palm Beach team submitted a story on their Front Desk Associate, Leonalda (Leah) Celestin. Leah left a big impression on a guest when he accidentally showed up at the Residence Inn West Palm Beach. After giving him a tour, discussing amenities and offering a great rate, the gentleman and his wife settled into their new home away from home. Leah's story was selected as Residence Inn's Q3 Story of the Quarter, a high honor among Residence Inn properties.
"By living and breathing the philosophy of Residence Inn as well as Pillar Hotels & Resorts, we are able to maintain a high level of service and team morale," said Dan Patino, General Manager at Residence Inn West Palm Beach. "This sets us apart from other hotel teams and makes a huge impact on our guest satisfaction."
The Residence Inn Salem team submitted a story on Mckenzie Walz, Guest Service Representative. Mckenzie secured repeat business with a group of Human Resources trainees when they were taken with her friendly, responsive personality. She is currently working two jobs while she completes her Hospitality Management degree. Mckenzie is an asset to her team, and she motivates everyone to sell every day to grow their extended stay.
"We are extremely proud of Mckenzie for her personal and professional accomplishments," said Michael Spoerhase, General Manager at Residence Inn Salem. "She is always bringing new business to our hotel and she is a joy to work with."
Thomas Forthofer, General Manager at Residence Inn Fort Smith submitted a personal story about his team's generosity and kindness during a difficult time in his life. When Thomas' mother suddenly passed away, his team offered an overwhelming amount of support and kind gestures. He was floored by their thoughtfulness, especially since he had only been General Manager of the property for two months and was still getting to know his team members.
"I had never felt more alone in my life, and their actions made it much more bearable," said Forthofer. "I am deeply touched and thankful to have them by my side."
Pillar Hotels & Resorts would like to extend congratulations to all four of these teams, and we look forward to the
release of the Residence Inn Most INNspiring DVD Collection early next year.
