Irving, TX (April 23, 2013) - The Pillar Hotels and Resorts team is proud to announce Cynthia Cardenas of the Hyatt Place Minneapolis Airport-South has been honored with the Bloomington Diamond Service Award for "Best Housekeeper - Limited Service Hotels" for 2013. Dubbed the "Oscars of Hospitality" the Bloomington DSAs honor front-line employees within the city's hospitality industry.
Produced by the Bloomington Convention & Visitors Bureau and sponsored by numerous world class corporations, the Bloomington DSAs were started 17 years ago in partnership with industry representatives. One of the only events of its kind in the country, the Bloomington Diamond Service Awards were started to honor front line team members for their contribution and dedication to customer service in the hospitality industry.
Associates in all positions, from valets to dishwashers, servers to housekeepers and bussers, are nominated for awards. Selected from the hundreds of nominees, winners are announced at the annual Bloomington Diamond Service Awards Gala, an extravaganza centered around the front-line team members who make Bloomington and the Twin Cities a world-class destination.
A Pillar associate for four years, Cynthia is not only an award-winning member of the housekeeping team; she is also cross-trained in multiple departments. She acts as a translator, inspector, gallery host and breakfast host. Her commitment to guest service has earned her three other nominations for the DSA awards.
