A handful of our California hotel teams participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure this May and raised over $1,900 for breast cancer research. Residence Inn Chicago Bloomingdale Honored with Community Appreciation Award (April 2014)
Earlier this month, our Residence Inn Chicago Bloomingdale hotel was surprised with a Community Appreciation Award from the Fire Department Chief and Lt. Chief. Congratulations and thank you for all of your efforts to help families displaced from fire, flood and other severe weather events. We are proud and happy to have you as part of our Pillar family!
SpringHill Suites Grand Rapids North Named Community Service Hotel of the Year (March 2014)
Our SpringHill Suites Grand Rapids North hotel was selected as 2013 Community Service Hotel of the Year. Over the past year, Spring-Hill Suites Grand Rapids North has been involved with numerous charitable organizations including the Ronald McDonald House, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and American Red Cross. This team is extremely passionate about community involvement and always looking for ways to give back while providing a memorable experience for team members and guests alike. In addition to participating in community events, many of the hotel's staff members serve local organizations on their own time and work to enhance tourism for Grand Rapids. Rachel Crowther, GM, is a local CVB-Experience Grand Rapids board member and actively involved in the Hotel Advisory Committee.
